Short version: PromptPromptClip stores your prompts only on your own device. We never see your prompts, never send them to a server, and have no account system.
PromptPromptClip collects nothing from you. The extension operates entirely locally on your device.
All prompts you save are stored exclusively in Chrome's chrome.storage.local API — a browser-level storage mechanism that is:
chrome.storage.local// picker and sidebar into any page you visit (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.). We do not read or transmit page content.The extension itself contains no analytics, telemetry, or tracking code of any kind. No data about your usage, the pages you visit, or the prompts you save ever leaves your device.
This website (promptpromptclip.com) uses Vercel Analytics for basic, anonymous page-view counts. No personal data is collected.
The extension does not communicate with any third-party APIs or services. There is no backend, no database, no authentication server.
PromptPromptClip is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we ever change how data is handled (for example, if an optional sync feature is added), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change. We will never make retroactive changes that reduce your privacy without explicit opt-in.
